Hailey and her husband are no strangers to our blog – we first introduced them following their maternity photo session earlier this summer. Although it had rained in Houston that afternoon and I planned to reschedule, Hailey wanted to go ahead with photos. Despite some puddles, we had a great time capturing her third pregnancy. Hailey explained she wanted to meet up even though the weather hadn’t been great that afternoon because she wanted a memory of this pregnancy, just in case her baby girl decided to come early.
Moms tell me this all the time – they want maternity photos ASAP because they’re excited about being pregnant, or they have a baby shower coming up and want to show off that bump in photos. Hailey was a little different, though.
In 2012, her precious baby girl, Lorelei, passed away at 37 weeks. Four years later, she was pregnant with another girl and wanted to celebrate her pregnancy and all that a Rainbow Baby signifies – a blessing after the storm. Another chance at the love and joy a new baby brings. Her longing to be a mommy to a little girl she could hug and kiss every day.
On July 19, 2016, God blessed Hailey, her husband and their son with a Rainbow Baby, Aurora.
At seven pounds and two ounces, she is the most perfect bundle of love that her family could ask for. You can see it in their smiles, in their eyes, in the tender way they hold their brand new daughter – she honestly is a dream come true.
What a tremendous blessing to see God shower love on this family through the birth of Aurora. We celebrate with this grateful family as their new life with Aurora begins.
